the geniuses over at sesame street created a series titled "monsterpiece theater," of which i am quite fond. while they have not (yet) adapted any of beckett's short plays, they did a charming presentation of waiting for elmo, "a play so modern and so brilliant it makes absolutely no sense."
a genius little skit by the great patrick stewart and stephen colbert. as one commenter noted, "am i the only one thinking, 'yeah, i could watch 90 minutes of this?'"
did you know there is an entire tumblr dedicated to memes that feature cats and lines from beckett plays - called beckittens??? this was one of the more delightful discoveries in my research. click here for more.
